CVHS TSA Privacy Policy

Effective September 2, 2026

The public CVHS TSA calendar can be viewed without creating an account. Officer accounts are only for approved officers age 13 or older.

Information we collect

For public visitors, the site displays calendar events, announcements, and public resources. For approved officer accounts, we collect the name and email entered during signup, account authentication information managed by Firebase Authentication, and the officer’s private plans, to-do items, and notes. If an officer chooses to enable phone reminders, we also store a device notification registration so we can send reminders only for that officer’s own timed plans. We also keep a change log of administrator actions, including the administrator account and action taken. We do not place IP addresses in that log.

Our hosting, security, and authentication providers may process technical information needed to run and secure the service, such as device or network identifiers. The site uses Firebase, including Firebase Hosting, Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and App Check/reCAPTCHA Enterprise.

How we use information

We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or knowingly use officer information for marketing.

Who can access information

Public calendar information is visible to site visitors. Officer workspace content is intended to be accessible only to that officer’s approved account and is stored in protected Firebase services. The site owner can review officer signup requests. Authorized service providers, including Google Firebase, process data only to operate and secure the site. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the safety and security of the chapter, its members, or the service.

Children’s privacy

Officer signup is not available to anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through officer signup. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, a parent or guardian should contact us so we can review and delete it. If the chapter decides to allow under-13 accounts in the future, it must first provide direct notice to parents and obtain verifiable parental consent as required by COPPA.

Retention and deletion

We keep public calendar information while it is useful to the chapter. Officer account and workspace data are kept while the account is active or until deletion is requested. Administrator change logs are retained for security and accountability. To request access, correction, or deletion of an officer account or related data, contact us at the email below. We may need to verify the requester’s identity before acting.

Security

We use role-based access controls, Firebase security rules, authenticated server functions, and security checks to protect data. No online service can promise absolute security, so users should use unique passwords and should not place sensitive personal, medical, financial, or disciplinary information in officer notes.

External links and changes

This site may link to third-party services, such as Linktree. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We may update this policy as the site changes; the effective date above will be updated when we do.
